All-Russian Society for Rescue on Waters

One of the oldest water rescue societies in the world. We protect lives on rivers, lakes and seas of the Russian Federation through training, prevention and direct rescue activities.

Our mission

VOSVOD Russia is a federal-level public organization dedicated to reducing drowning incidents and improving water safety culture in Russia. The Society unites volunteer rescuers, instructors, educators and water safety professionals across the country.

Our work focuses on prevention, public education, training of rescue personnel and direct cooperation with state emergency services.

  • Promoting water safety and preventing drowning across the Russian Federation
  • Training volunteer rescuers, lifeguards and water safety instructors
  • Educational campaigns for children, students and the general public
  • Cooperation with EMERCOM of Russia (Ministry of Emergency Situations) and regional authorities
  • Operating training centres for vessel handling and rescue diving
